Year 2: Post 33: Kisses, Lexie Wright

Hey my Queendalers! If you guessed “summer”, you guessed right! Summer is official here my friends! Sun, heat and more! I can’t think of a fitting way to end my blog and for a treat, I have a long post for you!

Screenshot-3329 (2)

So to start things off, the summer festival is back in town! The two Henderson sisters were spotted there Thursday, having some summer fun.

Screenshot-3342 (2)

Maria initiated a water balloon fight, and soon the two sisters were tossing balloons back and forth. What an arm that Maria has! Josephina was losing badly, being pummeled with them. Maria definitely should have considered doing softball.

Screenshot-3351 (2)

But soon Josephina was holding her own! After a few minutes, Josephina started tossing some back and managed to hit Maria with quite a few. Go Josephina!

Screenshot-3355 (2)

They both then took a break and decided to whirl around the roller-skating ring. I have to say, I love the skates for the rink! They are the old school four wheelers; totally retro! The Henderson sisters were totally rocking them with style!

Screenshot-3368 (2)

Later that afternoon, they started playing a game of soccer and I was amazed by Maria’s skill of being a goalie. She caught every ball Josephina kicked to her, even leaping on the floor to intercept one that almost went out of bounds. Very impressive! I can’t help but wonder why she never tried out for sports. She could have given some of the guys a run for their money.

Screenshot-3374 (2)

Josephina on the other hand, not so much. Though she did make a gallant effort trying to imitate her sister’s dives to catch the ball. Keep trying Josephina!

After the game, the girls headed home and Maria celebrated a glorious victory. Show off!

Screenshot-2813 (3)

Friday afternoon, I spotted Adam, Paul, Evanglina, Emilie, Maria and Kara heading off to the movies. There is a new action flick called “Infinity,” that is out and it seems to be all the rave. I hear it is supposed to be a trilogy taking place 100 years into the future. I’m not really that into Syfi’s but this movie just might change my mind!

Screenshot-2820 (3)

After the flick had finished, they all headed over to the Flyhouse Coffeehouse for a late-night dinner. That restaurant has the most amazing burgers. I haven’t been there in almost three months and am having total withdrawal. I need one pronto.

Screenshot-2821 (3)

While there, Evanglina and Kara decided to have a little fun strumming on their guitars. Maria joined in soon after and soon Evarie was having another performance with Kara included. Could their band now be becoming Evariera?

Screenshot-2911 (3)

Later after leaving the Flyhouse Coffeehouse, Maria headed over to the beach to meet up with Josephina. She then slipped into her bathing suit and she and Josephina started up the fire pit and took seats at it. Josephina immediately started roasting marshmallows. You could tell Adam had wanted to talk to her before she left, but Maria managed to sneak away without him seeing her.

Screenshot-2916 (3)

Maria joined in too and soon the both of them were munching on marshmallows.

“So,” Josephina said then, “you excited for the visit to San Marino?”

Maria shrugged. “I guess. It has been a while since we’ve gone. Will be nice to see grandma and grandpa again.”

“You said it.” Josephina took another bite. “I’ll bet they will be psyched to hear about you going to Bridgeport.”

“And yours to NYU. I’m so proud of you. You know, I’ll only be a couple hours away from you.” Ah! Looks like Maria has made her school decision!

“Hey, I may be a year younger, but I’m not a little kid.”

Screenshot-2920 (2)

Maria laughed. “I don’t think you are. I just meant that if you ever want to hang out or need someone to talk to, I’m there.”

Josephina smiled. “Same here.” She then sighed. “Will be nice to get away, huh?”

“Totally. I could use a break.”

“A break from Adam?” When Maria got quiet, Josephina gave her a look. “I know you’ve been avoiding him.”

“I have not.”

“Yes, you have.”

Screenshot-2917 (3)

“Maria, Adam has been hounding everybody else because he wants so badly to talk to you! Now, I’m not saying you should forgive him for the thing with Charlotte, but I do think you should talk to him.”

Maria bit her lip. “I know, I know. It’s just, whenever I talk to him, I just forget everything when he gives me that look.”

Screenshot-2921 (2)

Josephina frowned. “What look?”

“That look a guy gives you when he…I don’t know…wants you so badly? I can just feel it.”

“But, isn’t that a good thing?”

Maria shrugged again. “It should be. It really should be, but it’s just…I don’t know.”

“Whatever the case, you need to talk to him, Maria. Even if just for your sake. It will give you closure.”

Maria nodded and then rose from her chair. “When you’re right, your right,” she said, and then she walked down the sand, with Josephina following close behind.

Screenshot-2831 (3)

And she does. The next evening, she called up Adam and asked him to meet her at the beach.

She was there for almost twenty minutes before Adam finally showed up. You could hear the sound of the seagulls crying overhead and the waves lapping upon the shore.

Screenshot-2833 (3)

Even when Adam approached her, Maria stood in silence for a minute before actually speaking to him. She must have been rehearsing words in her head.

Screenshot-2838 (3)

Thanks for coming, Adam,” she said.

Adam nodded. “Of course.”

“I’m sorry that I haven’t talked to you until now. I guess I’ve just been trying to figure out what to say. So much has happened.”

“I know, and I know it’s because of me. I made a mistake, Maria, and I know that I have to make it right. I just want you to give me a chance to.”

Screenshot-2839 (3)

“I know you want to Adam, but it’s just not that simple.”

“But it can be if you just-”

“Adam, please! Just listen, okay?”

After she said this, Adam got quiet. Maria then took a deep breath.

“I’ve been juggling my feelings ever since this whole thing started. I can’t tell you how confused I’ve been. I want so badly to forgive you, but I’m still so angry about what happened.” She then paused for a moment. “Adam, when I saw you and Charlotte in that bathroom, it broke my heart. I can’t tell you how much it hurt, and I’ve been trying ever since to forget it.”

“The problem is, I can’t. I still see the two of you in my head and sometimes I wonder if there were other times that it could have happened-”

“Maria,” Adam interrupted, “it was only that one time.”

“My head knows that, but my heart still doesn’t.” Maria sighed. “Adam…I-I just don’t trust you, and I can’t be with someone I don’t trust.”

Screenshot-2844 (3)

Adam took Maria’s hands into his. “What can I do to change that?”

“I don’t think there is anything you can do. At least not right now. I have to figure out how to trust you again, and that isn’t going to happen overnight or anytime soon.”

Adam nodded. “I understand, but I still want to do something. I miss being with you.”

Maria gave his hands a squeeze. Her eyes looked like they were beginning to water. “I know, and I miss you too, but honestly, I don’t think I’m ready to be in a relationship with anyone. I need time to figure things out. To figure myself out, and maybe learn to trust you again.”

Screenshot-2846 (3)

Adam let her hand go. “I can try to do that for you.”

“Thank you.”

“Josephina told me that you got accepted into Bridgeport U and Cleveland University. Congratulations. You decided on which one?”

“I think I’m going to choose Bridgeport. They have an amazing music program.” Maria gave Adam a playful shove. “What about you? I heard you got into Duke, which is pretty amazing.”

Adam shrugged. “I guess. I did get into Bridgeport too, though.”

“I know, but Duke is a big deal. You’ve been wanting to go there since forever. I think you should really consider it.”

“Maybe.”

They both then got quiet.

“I should go. My mom, Josephina and I have a flight out to San Mario tomorrow.”

Adam looked surprised. “Really? How long will you be gone?”

“I’m not sure, but probably most of the summer.”

Screenshot-2847 (3)

They both then stood in silence and for a moment I thought that Maria was about to leave, when Adam pulled her into a hug.

“I’m going to miss you,” he said.

Maria hugged him back. “I’ll miss you too.”

They both then stood in silence and for a moment I thought that Maria was about to leave, when Adam pulled her into a hug.

“I’m going to miss you,” he said.

Maria hugged him back. “I’ll miss you too.”

Screenshot-2853 (3)

Then before she could stop him, Adam leaned down and kissed her! Maria tried to resist by pushing him away, but within seconds she caved and started kissing him back! I’m totally serious! They both then started making out fiercely, almost hungry, like they hadn’t before!

Screenshot-2854 (3)

Maria then finally pulled away from him a little.

“Adam,” she said, her voice was barely a whisper and completely breathless, “we should stop.”

“But I don’t want to stop,” he said back, and then he kissed her again.

Screenshot-2852 (3)

They both then started kissing again with the same force and speed as before, and I must tell you, if they had been anywhere else but here, I just know it could have possibly turned into something else. And I know you know what I mean. With the way they were kissing and pulling at each other with such, well, passion, it was a wonder to me that it wasn’t already happening. After all, the beach was pretty peaceful and there wasn’t a single person in sight…(well, almost no one)

Screenshot-2851 (3)

But alas, Maria pulled away once again.

“Adam, we can’t,” she said.

“Maria please-”

“No, we can’t.”

“Maria, I love-”

“Don’t. Please don’t say it.”

“I love you-”

“Stop.”

Maria sounded like she was on the verge of tears. “Just stop, please. I can’t.”

Screenshot-2856 (3)

She then took off down the beach, leaving Adam by the shore. Though she may not want to admit it, she wasn’t over Adam. Not by a long shot.

Screenshot-3429 (2)

Last but not least, Evanglina and Henria finally had the talk that Ricky had been pushing her to have with her.

Sunday afternoon, I spotted Henria making her way over to the Emersons house. She looked incredibly nervous, as she should be.

I should point out that she and Jake have hit a major road bump. It would appear that one of his drug shipments was busted and unlucky for him, Jake happened to be around the scene. So now he is in the station being questioned and the police are not about to let him out anytime soon. Will that help with her conversation with Evanglina? I guess you will have to read on to find out!

Screenshot-3431 (2)

After a few knocks on the door and ringing the doorbell twice, the front door opened and out came Evanglina. She looked very calm, almost like she had been practicing beforehand.

Screenshot-3432 (2)

Henria greeted her quickly and Evanglina did the same. You could tell that Henria wanted desperately to hug her, but it was obvious that Evanglina was not going to allow it.

“So, h-how have you been doing?” Henria asked.

“Fine.” said Evanglina. “Very good actually.”

“I-I hear you got into Bridgeport U. That’s wonderful.”

“Thank you.”

The conversation started out very bland, so I had no idea where it was going.

Screenshot-3440 (2)

“I-I’ve been doing better too,” Henria then said. “I’ve been seeing someone to help me with some problems I have. It’s been helping a lot.”

Evanglina nodded. “That’s great.”

“Also, Jake is no longer living in the house.”

“I know. I heard on the news that he was involved with some illegal drug shipments.”

“It’s true.” Henria lifted her hands up. “I couldn’t believe it. You were right about him. I never thought he was capable of those things. At least he’s out of my life now.”

Evanglina nodded again. “That’s good for you.”

“Yes, it is.”

Screenshot-3442 (2)

“So,” Henria perked up a little, “I was thinking that maybe if you came back with me, we could talk things over and get back to where we-”

“Whoa, whoa,” Evanglina shook her head, “what do you mean “come back with you? I’m not coming back with you.”

Henria looked surprised. “You’re not?”

“No, of course not! What made you think that?”

“Well you called and asked me to come over, so I thought that meant you wanted to-”

“No, it doesn’t,” Evanglina interrupted. “I called you here because I wanted to talk to you. Just talk. I have no intention of going back to live with you.”

Screenshot-3457 (2)

“I didn’t keep you from him! He walked out on us!”

Evanglina frowned. “How could he have walked out on us? He didn’t even know I existed!”

Henria rolled her eyes. “You just don’t get it.”

“What I get is, you were mad at Ricky because he left you for Auntie Sarah and when you found out you were pregnant with me, you kept me from him to punish him!”

“Oh really?” Henria looked furious. “Did your precious Auntie Sarah tell you that?”

“No, it’s obvious! You’ve never once even apologized to him or to me from keeping us from each other!”

“Because we didn’t need him!”

“I did!”

Screenshot-3459 (2)

Henria looked a bit taken aback when she said that, giving Evanglina a chance to talk.

“I always used to somehow feel empty without a dad around. I wanted someone else I could depend on. You say I had you, but I really didn’t! You spent all your time working at those bars and dropping me off at friend’s houses or leaving me home with your boyfriends. Some of them were total creeps and made passes at me, but whenever I told you, you never believed me. It was only when you moved in with Auntie Sarah, that I finally felt like I had a mom. She was always there when I needed her and she supported me. That’s why I was so mad when you threw her out.” Evanglina paused to take a breath. “Then when she and Kara left, you became worse. You let Jake become more of a part of our lives! A man that was involved with illegal drug shipments! You let him into our lives!” Evanglina then clenched her fists. “He was beating me, insulting me and threating me, but whenever I told you about it, you said I was lying!”

“Evanglina-”

“I had bruises mom!” Evanglina shouts. “I had bruises, but you still didn’t believe me. You stood there and watched him beat me up in front of you, and you did nothing to help me! You just watched as he hit me over and over again, and then you let him drag me up those stairs and lock me in my room for almost a whole week!”

Screenshot-3462 (2)

Henria just stood looking at her completely dumbfounded. “I-I um, I don’t know what to say.” Seriously, what could she have said? Everything Evanglina said was true! What excuse could she have possibly given? Nothing!

“There is nothing you can say,” Evanglina then remarked. “It’s what you did, and I hate you for it. I am filled with so much anger towards you right now. That’s why I can’t come home with you.”

“Evanglina,” Henria’s voice sounded weak, “I miss you.”

Evanglina took a deep breath. “Well, I’m sorry, but I’m staying with Ricky. We’ve lost so much time together because of everything and I think this is where I need to be right now. I’m glad that you’re seeing someone who is helping you and that you’ve finally let Jake leave, but I’m staying here. I’m sorry.”

Screenshot-3466 (2)

“Goodbye mother,” Evanglina then said, and she walked back up the pathway to the front door.

Screenshot-3468 (2)

Henria just stood staring after her in silence. I think she finally understood what Evanglina has been going through. As much as I think she is the worst mother ever, I think there may be some hope for her yet. If the look of regret and remorse on her face was any indication. Maybe through her “help” she will become a better mother to Evanglina. Only time will tell.

Screenshot-3317 (2)

Unfortunately, it will not be Lexie who will be figuring that out for you, being my last post and all. I still can’t believe that this is my final one. It feels like just yesterday I was introducing myself and beginning my first post. Now two years later, I am writing my final one and it feels so strange.

I hope that you have enjoyed all my news and juicy gossip about Queendale. It’s strange how many secrets are hidden behind closed doors. The Maxwells, the Richmonds, the Nelsons, the Hendersons, and even the Marsens. So many secrets that one would never guess was there.

Screenshot-3391 (2)

Also, thank you to all my readers for keeping my blog and identity a secret. I still question myself all the time about how this blog was never discovered by those that I wrote about. You Queendalers are very loyal followers, but alas, I must take my leave and set down my pen. Shall another decide to retrieve it and start again, please do so. Be my guest, for Lexie Wright is now moving onto new things and must leave Queendale behind.

Screenshot-3392 (2)

Thank you all again for being great followers and I hope to one day be able to write for you all again in one way or another. So goodbye my dearies and remember this,

“Always fear the quiet ones. Their mouths may be silent, but their minds talk miles a minute!”

Year 2: Post 28: Escaping the Marsens House of Horror

Hey Queendalers! So I am sure you are all wondering exactly what is going on with the Marsens since last week’s post. Well, I actually do have some news, for those of you who don’t yet know. Here we go!

So as you know, Evanglina hasn’t really been in school the past week. While everyone figured that she was just sick (and there may have been some truth to that), it would seem that she was at home because Jake and Henria were keeping her there. And of course, it only got worse after Kara told Evanglina about the possibility of Ricky being her father. Since that night that Jake dragged her upstairs to her room, Evanglina has not been seen out of the house. I’m serious! It’s like she disappeared. Kara and Derek have tried to see her a few times, but Henria always yells at them to leave and Jake slams the door in their faces.

Screenshot-2661 (3)

It is pretty obvious that they are basically keeping her trapped there, something that it would seem Sarah came to notice. After almost a week had passed, she made her way over to talk to Henria. It was Thursday afternoon to be exact. Henria didn’t want to let her in, but Sarah would not take no for an answer. She pushed her way through the door and into the house.

“What do you want Sarah?” Henria said rolling her eyes. Her face looked like she hadn’t slept in days. What on Earth was she taking?

“I came to see Evanglina,” said Sarah. “Kara said she hasn’t been in school for almost two weeks. She said she came over last week and snuck in to see her, but since then you haven’t been letting anyone in. So, I decided to come over to see for myself.”

Henria sniffed. “Evanglina is not available to talk right now.”

“Henria, I want to see her.”

“Well you can’t. She is very sick right now and she is contagious.”

Sarah arched her eyebrow. “Why don’t I believe you?”

Henria scoffed. “I don’t know, and I really don’t care. Whatever the case, you wasted a trip. Evanglina isn’t having any visitors, so you can just go.”

Screenshot-2662 (3)

“Listen Henria,” Sarah snapped. “I am not going anywhere until I see Evanglina. I don’t care if she is contagious or whatever you say. I want to see her. Now.”

Henria glared at her. “Excuse me, but this is my house and Evanglina is my daughter. You can’t just barge in here and order me around!”

“I just want to see Evanglina,” Sarah said again. “I want to make sure she is okay.”

“She is fine! Now get out!”

“No!” Sarah yelled. “You aren’t getting rid of me this time. I want to see her. Besides, the test results come back today.”

Screenshot-2664 (3)

Henria looked at her curiously. “What test results?”

“The results of the test I ordered to be run with Evanglina and Ricky. Today we should know the truth about whether or not he is her father.”

Henria’s eyes widened. “W-what? H-how are you running a test? I have not given you permission nor have I given you any sample of Evanglina’s DNA!”

Sarah shrugged. “I found an alternate way. I also happen to know someone in the lab.”

“I should have known you would bend the rules to get what you want,” Henria snorted.

Sarah sighed. “I just want the truth Henria, and so does Ricky.” Just as she said this, a car pulled up and then Ricky emerged from the front door. “Looks like Ricky is here,” she said.

Screenshot-2665 (3)

Ricky then knocked gently on the door and entered.

“Henria,” he said gently, “we need to talk.”

“I’m not in the mood, Ricky. I think we have said all we need to say to each other.”

Ricky shook his head. “I don’t think we have. I don’t know if Sarah told you that she-”

“Ran a test against you and some magical DNA she got of Evanglina? Yes, she has told me. So what?”

“So it wasn’t some magical DNA. She got it off Evanglina’s used latte cup, from when she took her and Kara shopping. And I received the results right before I came here.” He pauses to take a deep breath. “Henria…I’m her father.”

Screenshot-2669 (3)

I honestly wonder what reaction Ricky was hoping for. Maybe shock? Surprise? Horror? I don’t know, but it was not what he got. After those words left his lips, she just stood there staring at him.

“So what?” she said.

(Wait what? That was her response?)

Ricky looked confused. “What?”

“I said, so what?” Henria shrugged. “It doesn’t change anything.”

Ricky frowned. “What do you mean it doesn’t change anything? Of course it does!”

“How so?”

“Because this proves that she is my daughter, Henria! My daughter!”

Screenshot-2667 (3)

“Says your stupid test,” Henria protested. “How legit is it, really? You could have tampered with it.”

“Why would I do that?”

“I don’t know! I’m not in your head! But even so, it doesn’t matter.”

“It doesn’t matter?” Ricky looked extremely irritated. “Are you insane?”

“Oh please! You think you can be gone for all Evanglina’s life and then just waltz back in? Get real!”

Ricky looked incredulous and I can’t blame him. What kind of crock was that?

Screenshot-2668 (3)

“What the hell are you talking about?” he snapped. “You never told me I was her father!”

“And how could I? What with you screwing my sister back at home!  You chose her over us! So Evanglina and I had to move on with our lives!”

“What do you mean us? I didn’t even know you were pregnant! You left town and never told me! I would have never abandoned Evanglina!”

“Oh, so you just wanted to abandon me. Nice! Very nice Ricky! Gosh (censoring)! I wish I had never been with you!”

“This isn’t about me and you! This is about Evanglina!”

“And she is my daughter! So I get to decide who gets to be in her life and who doesn’t!”

Screenshot-2669 (3)

It’s amazing how this has turned into a shouting match. If anyone had been jogging by or even biking, they would have been able to hear their whole conversation. It was that loud, and also, the window happened to be open.

After Henria finished her sentence, she and Ricky just stood glaring at each other. Sarah looked totally caught in the middle.

“Well, I’m sorry, but you can’t decide that anymore, Henria,” he said finally. “Evanglina is eighteen years old now, and she’s my daughter too. So that means I have just as much right as you do.”

Henria scoffed. “Oh please, you haven’t even been a part of her life. In a custody hearing you wouldn’t have any say.”

“Are you kidding?”  Ricky raised his eyebrows, “If we were negotiating for custody, you would be at a serious loss! For goodness sakes, you are engaged to a man that allegedly imports drugs! He is on the police station’s watch list!”

Henria lips tightened. “Is that a threat, Ricky?”

“No! I’m just saying-”

“Because you aren’t going to take her away from me. No one is going to take Evanglina away from me!”

Screenshot-2670 (3)

The front door then opened and Jake came walking in. He looked from Henria to Ricky and then to Sarah.

“What’s going on?” he asked. “What is your slut sister and this a******* (censoring) doing here?”

Ricky turned to him. “Don’t you dare talk about my wife like that.”

“Oh, calm you nuts man,” Jake snapped.

Henria sighed. “Ricky just came over to tell me how he and Sarah had my daughter tested to see if he is her father. Apparently, the test came back positive for a match.”

Jake scoffed. “Really? So you’re that little brat’s father?” he chuckled. “That explains a lot.”

Ricky frowned. “I would appreciate it if you referred to Evanglina by her name.”

I noticed as they were talking, Sarah was slowly making her way around them and toward the staircase. She then crept her way up the stairs undetected.

Meanwhile, Jake just laughed. “That little b**** (censoring) doesn’t deserve to be called anything other than what she is. A dirty, little rotten slut.”

Screenshot-2673 (3)

As soon as he said this, Ricky surprised me by punching Jake in the face! Seriously!

Only Jake didn’t take that too well. He gritted his teeth and then tackled Ricky! The two of them then went rolling onto the floor. Henria just stood above them watching in surprise and awe.

The fight went on for a while with each of them struggling against each other. There is then a loud crashing sound and I can’t tell whether it was caused by them or from something upstairs. Ricky’s face looked totally furious while Jake had that killer look in his eyes. Scary!

Screenshot-2677 (3)

Finally, they both pulled apart panting. At that same time, Evanglina and Sarah emerged from upstairs. Evanglina looked horrible and terribly weak as she followed behind her. Her face was sunken like she hasn’t slept in days, and there was still a bruise on her cheek from where Jake had backhanded her; not to mention a few on her neck.

Seeing her, Henria’s eyes widened. “Evanglina! W-what-h-how did you-”

“I got her out of her room,” Sarah interrupted. “The door was locked, so I had to break in to get her out.” She gave Henria a dirty look. “She was handcuffed to her bed.”

Ricky looked even more outraged. “W-what?”

Sarah nodded. “I had to use a pin to pick the lock!”

“All those bruises.” Ricky was scanning Evanglina’s face. “How did you get them?”

Evanglina didn’t answer. She just glanced in Jake’s direction.

Screenshot-2683 (3)

Ricky turned to Jake looking livid. “Did you do that to her?”

Jake smirked. “Hey, some kids need harsher punishments for the message to sink in. Evanglina happens to be one of them. Only problem, she doesn’t seem to learn her lesson, as you can see.”

“How dare you!” Ricky made a move toward Jake, but he was too quick. Jake lunged at him and then the two them go at it again!

Sarah is totally caught off guard, screaming for Ricky to stop.

“We don’t need this! We have Evanglina so let’s just take her and go!”

Screenshot-2685 (3)

Ricky finally shoved Jake away and rose to his feet. “You’re right. Let’s just get out of here.”

Sarah then quickly ushered Evanglina out of the door while swatting away Henria, who was reaching to grab her.

“She is my daughter!” Henria screamed. “You can’t just barge in here and take her!”

“We aren’t! Evanglina wants to come with us, which I think is an excellent decision considering what is happening to her here! Also, she is eighteen years old! She can move out! And you forcing her to stay here against her will, is basically kidnapping!”

“I am not going to let you take her!”

“You don’t have a choice!” Sarah said, and then sighed. “Ricky and I are walking out of here with Evanglina and if you try to stop us, I will call the police.”

She then pushed Evanglina out the door. Ricky looked at Jake and Henria one more time and then he left as well, with Henria screaming at the top of her lungs from inside the house.

Screenshot-2688 (3)

Outside, Evanglina climbed into Sarah’s van and shut the door. Henria then came running out of the house screaming,

“You can’t do this Evanglina! You can’t leave me too! I need you! You can’t leave me!”

Evanglina just took one look at Henria and the house before turning away. Henria then stood by the doorsteps and watched Sarah’s car drive away before bursting into tears. I want to feel sorry for her, but I can’t. I am just too happy that finally Evanglina is out of that chaos.

Screenshot-2691 (3)

As Ricky and Sarah drove off into the distance, I couldn’t help but feel extremely relieved. I had been on the verge of blowing my cover to help Evanglina out. Luckily, I didn’t have to. Maybe just maybe, things might get better for that girl. One can hope.

Well, that is it for this week. The weeks are dwindling down and summer is almost on us. Also, graduation is right around the corner! Soon high school will be behind us. Let’s have a toast to bigger and better things in life. More soon my dearies!

Year 2: Post 27: Enough Is Enough

Hey my Queendalers! So last week’s code was a little weird, but some of you were still able to guess it, “butterfly.”  Still, some of you did struggle with it, so I will leave the code for one more week for those of you that could not guess it. Well, this week’s post is a bit jam packed, so let me get started!

Screenshot-1510 (3)

First of all, I spotted Angel and Claire at Feng Shui Fusion on Friday night. They were perched on stools while enjoying plates of sushi. Claire was going on about her irritation with the events of prom night.

“I cannot believe that he ditched me for Kara,” she said, shaking her head. “I mean, its Kara! I can’t believe he left me for that piece of trash.”

“You’re complaining,” Angel gave her a look, “What about Claude? He basically made me look like some pathetic loser! Telling me that he had no interest in me romantically? He basically “friend-zoned” me!”  (Oh yes he did! It was absolutely beautiful.)

Claire nodded. “That was pretty messed up.”

“And on top of that, he also ditched me for Emilie! That science geek!” Angel rolled her eyes. “So, I think I had it a bit worse than you.”

Screenshot-1511 (3)

“Oh yah?” Claire looked at her. “What about me getting kicked out of prom? Everyone was staring.”

“Well you did start that fight.”

“That’s because Kara had it coming!”

“I didn’t say she didn’t.” Angel sighed. “I’m just saying maybe you shouldn’t have fought with her at the dance. You know how strict the principle was being about fights.”

Claire grumbled something about it not being a big deal and then turned back to her sushi.

Screenshot-1517 (3)

“Hey, no worries,” Angel then said. “This fall we will be in college and get to be around hot college guys. We won’t have to bother ourselves with these stupid high school guys anymore.”

Claire nodded. “That’s true. Speaking of which, have you heard back from your colleges?”

Angel suddenly looked disinterested. “I’m still waiting to hear from them. They should be sending me my acceptances soon. How about you?”

“Well, I heard back from Bridgeport University and Duke. They apparently both accepted me. I was a bit surprised about Duke. I got an interview and I didn’t think it went well. I guess there was something about me they liked.”

Angel seemed to force a smile. “That sounds great. Have you decided which one you are going to attend?”

Claire shrugged. “I’m still deciding. I do have some time.”

Angel then excused herself to go to the restroom.

Screenshot-1525 (3)

As soon as she disappeared upstairs, the front doors opened and Claude came walking through. Spotting Claire, he walked right over.

“Claire, where is Charlotte?” he asked. “She told me she would be joining you for dinner and to pick her up from here, but I’ve been waiting outside and she hasn’t come out.”

Claire glared at him. “I dropped her off at home on my way home from school. Besides, I uninvited her. This dinner is just for Angel and I.”

“Well, you should have informed Charlotte about that so she could have told me.”

“It’s not fun when someone messes with you, huh?”

Screenshot-1529 (3)

Claude stared at her for a moment in silence before responding. “To what are you implying? I don’t believe I have ever messed with you.”

Claire scoffed. “Maybe not to me, but you did to Angel. I know that you ditched her at the prom.”

Claude raised his eyebrows in realization. “Oh that. I was not messing with Angel. I simply told her that she had the wrong idea about us. We were just friends, but she had mistakenly thought we were more.”

“That wasn’t her fault! You asked her to the prom! That is asking her out! You are the one that suddenly changed your mind and wanted to be with, Emilie.”

Ugh, she says Emilie’s name like she has a bad taste in her mouth. My gosh I hate Claire.

Screenshot-1530 (3)

Still Claude pays her no mind. “Look, I didn’t come to argue with you. If Charlotte is at home like you say, I will just go and see her there.” He then turns and leaves, ignoring her loud comment about him being an “asswhole,” as he walks out. I swear, sometimes I wonder if Angel or Claire have any class left in their bodies. Not that they had much to begin with.

Screenshot-2556 (3)

In other news, I am sure you are wondering what has been going on with Evanglina since everything on the morning after prom night. Literally everyone is wondering that. No one has really seen much of Evanglina for the past week. I don’t think she has even been at school. Maybe she was sick?

Well, I found out the true reason that Friday afternoon. Kara, who had been trying to get into the Marsen house, was finally able to do so when Jake temporarily stepped outside for a few minutes to smoke (yes, you know what). Kara crept in through the back door quietly and found Evanglina cleaning the kitchen.

“Hey, what’s up?” she said, walking over to her. “I haven’t really seen much of you in the past week. Is everything okay?”

Screenshot-2557 (3)

Evanglina shrugged. “I-I just haven’t been feeling well.”

Now even I could tell she was lying.

It looked like Kara wasn’t buying it either. “Are you sure? It’s not like you to miss four whole days of school. Not even for being sick. Then again, Monday you didn’t look too good.”

Evanglina shrugged. “I’m okay. I’m just, um, not feeling well, like I said.”

“Is that also why Jake won’t let me or anyone else come in to see you?”

Screenshot-2559 (3)

Evanglina sighed. “I’m sorry, my mom’s just really angry about prom night. I slept over at Derek’s house and she is really mad about it. They both are.”

Kara frowned. “Since when do you care about what Jake says?”

“I-I don’t. I-I just don’t want any more problems right now,” Evanglina said. Her voice sounded a little strained.

Kara still looked worried, but she moved on. “Well, I came to tell you something. I’ve actually been trying to get a hold of you so I could talk to you about it.”

Evanglina glanced at the door. “Okay, but hurry. I don’t want you to get in trouble with Jake.”

Kara looked like she wanted to say something about that, but she seemed to decide against it.

Screenshot-2560 (3)

“So I heard my mother talking the other day about you and Ricky. It was so weird. She was on the phone with someone and she said something about them needing to hurry with some type of test results.”

Evanglina’s eyebrows furrowed. “Test results?”

Kara nodded. “Yes. She was really annoyed about it too. She said that she had asked them to put a rush on it, because Ricky needed to know sooner rather than later. It seemed really important to her.”

“That’s weird.”

“I thought so too, but then I started thinking about back when I was talking to Ricky and I said that you and him looked alike. Well, he told me that my mom seemed to really think so and was obsessing over it. Now, he’s been talking about it a lot too.”

Screenshot-2563 (3)

“What are you saying?”

Kara swallowed. “I’m saying, I think my mom thinks that Ricky is…your dad.”

Evanglina’s eyes widened as soon as Kara said this. “Wh-what?”

Kara shrugged. “I know, it sounds crazy, but I really think she believes it! And I’ll bet that those test results are to prove it.”

Evanglina looked so shocked, that I was afraid she might faint. “She-she thinks Ricky, is m-my…”

“Your father. And honestly? I think Ricky does so too.” Kara then smiled. “It’s weird to think about, right? That said, it would explain why your mom hates the fact that he is married to my mom. Especially, if she has known all this time.”

“My mom probably doesn’t know. She couldn’t. That would mean that she would have kept me from him for all these years. She may have problems, but she wouldn’t do that to me. Right?”

Kara was about to answer when the front door started to open.

Kara jumped. “I should go! I don’t want to get you in anymore trouble. Call me, me okay? And call Derek. He’s really worried about you.” She then slipped out through the back door.

Screenshot-2645 (3)

Okay, now here is where things got crazy. Henria, as it turns out, was at home the whole time! She was upstairs and after Kara left, she came slowly down the stairs. Jake coughing a bit from his joint, came walking in through the front door.

Evanglina took a deep breath and walked over to Henria.

“Mom, I need to ask you something.”

Henria turned around. “What do you want, Evanglina?”

“I need to know something.” She then paused and swallowed sharply. “Is Ricky Emerson, Sarah’s new husband…is he my father?”

Screenshot-2648 (3)

Henria nearly choked. “W-what? Why would you ask me that?”

“Well, I was talking to Kara the other-”

“Kara! I should have known! She was the one that started all this nonsense!”

“No mom! That’s not what I-”

“I thought I heard someone downstairs. Was Kara just here?”

When Evanglina doesn’t answer, Jake stepped forward. “You better answer her dammit!” he growled. His voice was slurred slightly.

Evanglina bit her lip. “Yes, but-”

“I thought we told you that you weren’t allowed any friends over! Jakes bellowed. “Wow! You think you can just do whatever you damn well please, don’t you?”

Screenshot-2649 (3)

“No I don’t!” Evanglina cried in frustration. “I didn’t invite her over! She just came over because she wanted to tell me that Sarah was having some test being run. Something with me and Ricky.”

“It’s a lie!” Henria snapped. “Sarah doesn’t know what she’s talking about! She’s crazy and making things up!”

I am now convinced that Henria is high. I actually think she has been for a while now. Jake has clearly started sharing his stash with her.

Evanglina frowned. “She is not crazy! She just has a hunch and she is following it! And I want to know!”

“No, you will not!” said Jake. “We won’t take part in Sarah’s nonsense.”

“It concerns me! I need to know!”

“You do not!”

“I do if he is my father!”

“He isn’t!” Henria shouted, but I don’t think she is even believable anymore.

“Look at what you’re doing!” Jake said, glaring at Evanglina. “You’re upsetting your mother! All for the stupid lie your slut aunt is telling. What an ungrateful waste of space!”

Screenshot-2652 (3)

After he says this, Evanglina stared at him for a moment in shock. “I can’t believe you said that.” She then looked at Henria. “Mom? Aren’t you going to say something?”

“She won’t,” Jake interrupted. “She knows the truth. How despicable you are. Selfish, disgusting little brat.”

Evanglina shook her head. “You know what? I can’t take this anymore! I have put up with all this long enough! I thought I could handle it until graduation, but I can’t! I have had it! I’m moving out!”

Screenshot-2653 (3)

Jake looked pleased. “Good riddance,” he started, but Henria on the other hand, didn’t seem to like the idea.

“Oh, you are, are you?” she asked. “And where exactly are you going to live? Shack up with your boyfriend?”

Jake scoffed. “Yah, and probably end up diseased or pregnant.”

Evanglina rolled her eyes. “No, I’m going to live with Auntie Sarah. And possibly…my father.”

“RICKY IS NOT YOUR FATHER!” Henria screamed. She was on the verge of being hysterical. “HE is not a part of our family! HE is with Sarah! Not us! So just let it go!”

“Never!” Evanglina screamed back. “I’m moving out right now and I am never, EVER coming back!”

“NO YOU ARE NOT!”

“YES I AM!”

Screenshot-2658 (3)

And like usual, just as Evanglina finished saying this, Jake stepped forward and backhanded her hard across the face. Only this time, even I could see that he left a mark. I then noticed that he was wearing some type of ring on his finger and it totally scraped her face during the hit. There was a long gash on Evanglina’s cheek and blood was starting to seep through. But Jake didn’t stop there. He slapped Evanglina several more times and when she fell, he began to kick her body roughly. I literally watched in horror as Jake beat Evanglina up and her mother just stood watching without lifting a finger to help her. Seriously! She just stood there watching like her mind was somewhere else. I was on the verge of calling the police, when Jake finally stopped.

Screenshot-2656 (3)

Evanglina slowly rose to her feet wobbling severely. Her eyes were wide in shock.

“I told you that you hadn’t seen anything yet,” Jake sneered. “And if you ever talk like that to your mother again, I can do much, much worse. Keep going and you might just not be able to use those legs for a while.”

Whoa. Whooooaaaa. Did Jake just threaten her?

Screenshot-2654 (3)

Evanglina’s eyes slowly filled up with tears. “I’m out of here!”  she said and tried to move toward the door, but Henria blocked her.

“No! I’m not going to let you run off to my b**** (censoring) of a sister! You are staying here!”

“I said I’m leaving!”

Evanglina then forced her way around her.

“I don’t think so,” Jake said, blocking Evanglina as well. “Personally, I don’t care what happens to you, but if Henria wants you to stay here, then you’re staying.”

Evanglina looked at him in disbelief. “You can’t force me to stay here! I am eighteen years old!”

Jake just smirked at her. “You want to bet?”

He then grabbed Evanglina by the arm and pulled her up the stairs. You could hear Evanglina’s screams and shouts as he dragged her up the staircase while yelling, “Shut up or I’ll give you something to shout about!” Then silence when her bedroom door closed loudly.

Now I have to say, I am left in a position of confusion. On one hand, I am just a blogger who reports what I see and remains out of the conflicts, but what if I see something that is serious? What then? Do I get involved and do something about it? Or do I watch for the situation to play out?

Well, for now, I will be keeping a close eye on the Marsens as I figure out how to approach this. Meanwhile, please feel free to forward this to anyone you think can help. Violence should never be tolerated, especially not from parents to children. And from the way things are going, Evanglina is going to need all the help she can get to get out of this situation.

Kisses,

Year 2: Post 26: The Morning After

Hey Queendalers! If you guessed “gummy bear,” you got it right! I thought I would do a fun code for this week. I cannot believe how fast the months have gone. In just a month, the seniors will be graduating! Time sure flies! Well onto the post!

Screenshot-1571 (3)

I am sure you are all wondering what happened with Evanglina and Derek after she went home with him prom night. Well, let me tell you, she didn’t leave until the next morning! Seriously! I spotted her hurrying out of Derek’s house the very next morning looking very rattled.

“My gosh, my mom is going to be furious!” she was saying.

“Hey, it was an accident,” said Derek. “We just kind of fell asleep.” I feel a bit disappointed that just like last year nothing exciting happened. Again, too many Fabio covered novels.

“I know,” said Evanglina, “but she won’t care. I told you, she has been kind of unpredictable lately.”

Screenshot-1572 (3)

Evanglina then pulled Derek to her and kissed him deeply. They stayed like that for a minute before she pulled away.

“I have to go. Tell your dad that I am sorry for this.”

Derek laughed. “Please, my dad won’t mind a bit. He knows we didn’t, you know, do anything.”

Screenshot-1575 (3)

“Still. Tell him, okay?”

After he agreed, Evanglina waved a final goodbye and then was off.

Screenshot-2501 (3)

I have never seen someone petal so fast to get home. It was like she flew and trust me, that dress did not hold her back one bit! She then jumped off the bike and hurried into her house.

Screenshot-2503 (3)

Unfortunately, Evanglina was not lucky enough to be able to sneak back in. Henria was waiting for her when she came in through the door. You could hear her voice even from outside.

“Are you out of your mind?” she shouted at her. “You just waltz in at eight ‘O clock in the morning and think it is okay?”

“No, I didn’t say-”

“You didn’t have to! It’s obvious what you were thinking! Where were you last night?”

“I was with Derek and-”

“Derek? You were with Derek?”

“Yes, but-”

“Are you telling me that you were alone all by yourself, no parents, with a boy last night?”

“No, I-”

“Oh my gosh!” Henria looked furious. “Oh my gosh!”

Screenshot-2504 (3)

“Mom! Listen to me!” Evanglina practically had to yell. “We had just come back from prom and Derek asked me back inside, so I-”

“So you went in with him?!” Henria looked incredulous. “How could you be so irresponsible! A child like you going over to sleep at boys’ houses in the night!”

Screenshot-2505 (3)

“Mom, I am not a child! I am eighteen years old!”

Henria’s eyes widened. “Oh really? So you think because of that you should be sleeping around with boys?”

“No mom! That’s not what I m-”

“What’s going on down here?”

Screenshot-2508 (3)

Just then Jake came down the stairs. He looked from Henria to Evanglina and frowned.

“What did she do this time?”

I’ve gotta say, you have to just love how he is always ready to lay it into Evanglina about something. Seriously.

“Evanglina, was gone all night and just came in a minute ago,” said Henria. “She then proceeded to tell me she spent all night with a boy, doing God knows what!”

Jake looked at Evanglina with disgust. “Starting a bit early don’t you think?”

Evanglina rolled her eyes. “If you would excuse me Jake, I was talking to my mother. Not you. You are not my father.”

Screenshot-2509 (3)

Jake gritted his teeth and then slapped Evanglina right across the face. “You ungrateful little twit!” He yelled. “After all I have done for you! Giving you a roof over your head? You think you can talk to me like that? You go around whoring yourself to men in the night and then come home and insult your mother?”

“I didn’t insult an-”

“Just shut up!”  Jake yelled. “Just shut the fu** up! I am sick of your attitude and your stupid excuses! You are never seeing that boy again! Do you hear me?! Now get the fu** upstairs! NOW!”

Screenshot-2515 (3)

Evanglina looked at her mother like she was waiting for her to say something, but she didn’t say a word. She just stood watching in silence. Evanglina then burst into tears and ran up to room, with Henria and Jake yelling up the stairs after her. Goodness, the things that poor girl has to deal with. It makes you wonder what is going on with Ricky and the results. He hadn’t been back in past week. Could it be that Sarah had been wrong? That Ricky wasn’t Evanglina’s father? I guess time will tell.

Screenshot-1260 (4)

In other news, I saw Paul and Brian Nelson downtown together later in the afternoon. They were taking a stroll along the sidewalk, something that I hadn’t ever really seen Paul and Brian do. But nearing them, I realized why. They were having quite a serious conversation.

“I am sorry about all of this,” Brian was saying. “I know this has been a lot for both you and your sister to take in, what with it being your last year of high school and with graduation and everything.”

Paul shrugged. “Yah, it has, but that’s life. I figured things were kind of headed in that direction by the way you and mom were acting. Still, I did hope you two could work through it.”

Brian sighed. “So did I. But sometimes there are just some things you can’t get past. Learn from my mistakes, son. You find someone you love and know is the one, do not squander it or take it for granted. You never know if you will get another chance.”

Paul was quiet, but then nodded slowly.

Screenshot-1261 (4)

Afterwards, their conversation became a bit more cheerful. Brian asked how school was going and Paul said it was going well. He also told him how thrilled he was of being accepted at Bridgeport University and Alfred State. He just couldn’t decide between the two.

“I say you should choose the school you feel more at home at,” said Brian. “I also think the academic selection and social life is also important.”

Paul agreed. He also pointed out how Kara was also accepted into Bridgeport University, something his dad stopped him at.

“Don’t go to a school just because of a girl, son. Make sure you are there because you really want to be there. If not and you two don’t stay together, the situation gets messy. Besides, Bridgeport University and Alfred State are only an hour from each other or less. Either way, you two will still be able to see each other.”

That Paul couldn’t argue with. Which gets me thinking. With all these couples still in high school, it is so easy, but when they all move to college settings, will they all be able to last?

Well, that’s it for this week. We are winding down to the final weeks of the year and you all are still up with your guessing of who I am. Good guesses and I think one of you might have figured it out…Also, I have noticed that more people are starting to follow my blog, funny, as it is coming to an end. It’s only a matter of time before it spreads to certain people…More soon!

Kisses,

   Lexie

Year 2: Post 25: A Night To Remember: Part 2

(Hey my readers! I’m sorry that I didn’t post anything last week. I had some dental work to take care of that kept me out for the rest of the week. But I am back, and please enjoy the next post of Kisses, Lexie! Please read, like and comment! Thank you! :))

Screenshot-2222 (3)

So just after the slow song ended, Ricky Emerson declared it was time to announce prom King and Queen. Slowly, he read the   nominees names off, starting with Claire and Angel, and then ending with Evanglina and Maria. The King finalists were Derek, Adam, Paul and Claude.

Screenshot-2124 (3)

After being handed the envelope containing the winners by Greg Jensen, he ripped it open and announced “Angel and Adam,” as Prom King and Queen!

Screenshot-2204 (3)

While Angel looked over joyed to be Prom Queen, everyone in the audience looked a bit shocked and confused. It was pretty obvious that barely anyone had voted for her. I could even see Greg Jensen in the corner looking very uncomfortable. I think he had quickly realized his mistake.

Still, Angel came onto the stage and took her crown along with Adam, but here is the biggest shock she received. While I’m sure Angel was expecting to get her long awaited slow dance with Adam, he rather suggested that they dance with a person of their choosing, someone “closest to their hearts”.

Screenshot-2172 (3)

Of course, Ricky had no objection to that, so Adam left the stage and pulled Maria into his arms. Although I feel like she wanted to protest, I think Maria was too blown away say a thing. I mean, Adam basically changed the traditions of prom just so he could dance with her! Besides, I don’t think she really wanted to see him and Angel dancing together anyway.

Screenshot-2093 (3)

Angel looked totally furious! She watched them dance, scowling for a while, before wandering over to the drink bar by the dancefloor. Claire, who was standing by the stage, went over to join her.

“So,” she said, “I know you made Greg Jensen rig the ballots.” (Ah ha! I told you all!)

Angel frowned. “What?”

“I know you rigged the ballot box. You were hoping that you could win Adam over in a dance, right? I’m sorry it didn’t work.”

Angel rolled her eyes. “What is it with him and Maria anyway? He’s like obsessed with her!”

“I don’t know,” Claire said, shaking her head. “He is really, really into her. I hate to say it, but I think he might just be in love with her.”

“Ugh! How can you say that?”

“Because I know him. He’s never been like this with any other girl. Even Charlotte couldn’t get him away from her. I’m telling you, the guy is in love with her. I hate it, but I am sick of trying to break them up.”

Screenshot-2092 (3)

Angel looked over at the dancefloor frowning, but then suddenly smiled. “I wonder if you would be saying the same thing if the roles were reversed.”

Claire took a sip from a ginger ale the bartender handed to her. “What do you mean?”

“I mean, have you seen Paul in a while? Because I see him dancing right now and he’s not alone.”

This caught Claire’s attention. She glanced around and spotted Paul and Kara toward the door dancing with each other.

“Kara,” she muttered slowly. She then put her drink down and walked right over.

Screenshot-2190 (3) 2

I could not help but move a little closer to the action.

“Now I know you feel a bit pathetic for coming without a date,” Claire was saying, “but that doesn’t mean you can steal someone else’s.”

“Claire,” Paul started, but Kara cut over him.

“I’m not stealing anyone else’s date,” Kara said, giving Claire a look of hatred. “Paul and I were just dancing.”

“Sure you were. I saw the look on your face, Kara, but just so you know, Paul isn’t interested in you. He will never will be interested in you. So I suggest you stop shamelessly throwing yourself at a guy that will never be yours.”

Kara’s jaw dropped. “Excuse me?”

“Wait Kara,” Paul interjected. “Claire please, we need to, um, talk.”

Claire side glanced at him and then looked back to Kara. “Wow…” Claire shook her head. “Are you seriously about to dump me for her?”

When Paul doesn’t answer, Claire just laughed. “Wow,” she says again, “this is actually happening. I am actually being dumped for some hoe bag slut.”

Kara scoffed. “I think you are mistaking me for you and Angel. How many guys have you two been with again? Or have you already lost count?”

Screenshot-2194 (3) 2

No sooner did Kara finish that sentence, when Claire suddenly pummeled her to the floor! People all around them had to quickly jump to the sides as they rolled along the floor. Claire was seriously trying to do some damage by strangling her, but Kara, I must say, did hold her own! I even heard a bit of chanting coming from the watching crowd. Paul did try and yell for Claire to get off Kara, but she was definitely not listening. I really think she wanted to kill her. No really! I think she did! You should have seen the look of pure hatred on her face. It was scary! Still, it was nice to see Kara letting Claire have it!

Screenshot-2206 (3)

That said, no deed goes unpunished. After a couple minutes, Ricky intervened and let Kara have it for getting in a fight. She apologized and explained the situation, but he was still very angry with her. You could see it on his face. She was lucky not to get kicked out!

Screenshot-2208 (3)

Claire, however, did get a harsher punishment. Because of initiating the fight, she was actually kicked out of the prom! I guess the principle wasn’t too happy about what happened. Not to mention he already was not that crazy about her in the first place. She looked pretty angry and glum as she walked out through the front doors, Angel following close behind. They both gave Kara a look of disgust. I think she had better watch her back!

Screenshot-2180 (3)

The rest of the night seemed to go a bit more smoothly. It was especially for Adam, until he made the mistake of kissing Maria as they were dancing. She moved back caught off guard, and asked him what he was doing and when he tried to kiss her again, she turned and walked right off the dance floor!

Screenshot-2155 (3)

He stood standing puzzled for a few minutes before following after her. I had wanted to follow along, but then I noticed Claude heading over to a certain red head. I had been watching him all night making eyes at Emilie and it seemed he had finally worked up the courage to approach her, something I did not want to miss!

Screenshot-2156 (3) 2

“Emilie,” he said, as he neared her.

Just as I thought they would, her eyes lit up when she saw him. “Claude,” she said quietly.

“I was wondering if I might talk to you for a minute,” he asked.

When Emilie nodded, he continued. “I wanted to apologize to you for the way I have treated you the past few months. I consider you a good friend, but I haven’t been acting like it. That was wrong of me, and I am terrible sorry about it.”

Emilie looked a bit surprised, but smiled. “It’s all right.”

Claude shook his head. “No, it isn’t. I was wrong and you have every right to be angry with me. That night at Angel’s party,” he sighed, “I really don’t know what happened. I guess I was just so thrown by your words that I didn’t react. I should have said something instead of just standing there like that.”

Emilie shrugged. “It was what it was. You were never supposed to hear that poem I wrote about you. I honestly don’t even know how Angel got a hold of it.” She then paused and shook her head. “But when it comes to her, I shouldn’t be surprised.”

Screenshot-2157 (3) 2

Claude grinned. “She can be quite vicious, that one.”

“You don’t even know the half of it. But, if she makes you happy, then I guess that’s good for you.”

Claude looked taken aback. “What?”

“You and Angel,” Emily frowns. “You two are together, right?”

Claude shook his head. “Heavens, no. Angel and I are just friends. I’m afraid she wanted more than that, but I couldn’t be that for her. Not when I have feelings for another.”

“Oh?” Emilie looked at him curiously. “Who?”

“That would be you and I was hoping if I haven’t blown it completely, you would honor me with a dance.”

Screenshot-2164 (3)

Emilie looked at him with a bit of hesitation, but finally she took his hand. “I suppose a dance wouldn’t hurt,” she said and then he whisked her onto the dancefloor. And though she might deny it, she looked extremely happy to be dancing with him. Extremely. And I was happy to see it.

Screenshot-2179 (3) 2

I wasn’t the only one. Surprisingly, I saw Charlotte off to the side doing a happy cheer when she saw Claude and Emilie start dancing. I am guessing she had given him a bit of a pep talk beforehand and was happy to see the end result. Maybe she wasn’t as bad as we all originally thought.

Screenshot-2101 (3)

So, if you were wondering what happened with Adam and Maria when she ran out, one of our readers has got us covered again! Our fellow reader happened to catch the exchange when Maria left the party center and Adam followed after her.

“Why did you do that?” Maria had been saying, “why did you have to kiss me?”

“Why do you think? Because I love you.”

“Would you please stop saying that!”

“But it’s true! I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it! I love you Maria, and it is killing me not being with you!”

“Then why did you do it? If you love me so much, then why would you hurt me like this? Why did you cheat on me?”

Screenshot-2094 (3)

Adam is quiet for a moment before he answers. “Because I was an idiot. I was so caught up in what I wanted that I just wasn’t thinking. If I could take it back, I would do it in a second. You have to believe that.”

Screenshot-2098 (3)

Maria then sighed. “I do believe that,” she says quietly.

Adam took her hands into his. “Then please say you will look past this. Please say you will give me another chance.”

Maria then holds onto his hands a few seconds longer before letting go.

“I want to Adam. I really want to, but I just…can’t.”

She then turned and walked back through the double doors into the dance. I can’t help but weep for the pain the both of them or going through. Though I must admit that none of this would have happened if Adam hadn’t let himself get carried away with Charlotte. Ugh.

Screenshot-2177 (3)

The last hour of the dance went by very quickly. A lot of people started heading out, so soon the dance floor had thinned out. That didn’t stop Kara and Paul though. I saw them still on the dance floor grooving to the beat.

Screenshot-2227 (3)

Even Maria managed to have a bit of fun with everything that had happened earlier; dancing with Evanglina for a couple songs. They were so into their dancing that they missed an incredible moment right behind them, Emilie getting her first kiss!

Screenshot-2226 (3)

Please don’t ask me how I know it was her first. I just know *wink*wink*. Anyways, I just happened to see them doing so on the dancefloor just as Ricky announced that he would be playing the final prom song from the movie, called, “A Night To Remember.” Fitting. Anyways, luckily Emilie and Claude were so into each other that they didn’t notice this cute pic I snapped of them. Enjoy all!

Screenshot-2162 (3)

I also got this adorable picture of Derek and Evanglina as they were shuffling off the dancefloor together. They were both smiling and I heard something about her going back to his place. Now what did that mean? Where they going to make…magic? Only one way to find out!

Screenshot-2186 (3)

As I was leaving, I happened to hear a conversation between Maria and Josephina as they were dancing together. Just as I expected, Josephina informed Maria that after checking the correct ballots, she had found out that the real winners for prom were Evanglina and Derek! As Claire, had mentioned, Angel had bribed Greg Jensen to change the names.

Josephina was of course livid, because Greg had been her date, but Maria told her that she should forget about him.

“He wasn’t really that great of a guy anyway. Especially if he could still be running after Angel after all this.”

Josephina then agreed and they left the dancefloor as well, Juanita following close behind.

Screenshot-2099 (3)

As I was heading out the door, I happened to see Paul and Kara saying their goodbyes. It would seem that they seriously had had hidden feelings for each other. That said, I’m telling you, the way they were suddenly all over each other, you wouldn’t have guessed it.

Screenshot-2232 (3)

So, in his rented black stretch limo, Derek escorted Evanglina back to his house. It seemed like a slow ride, but before long it had pulled right in front of his driveway. Derek then helped Evanglina out of the car and walked her up the path to his front door.

Screenshot-1550 (3)

“You should come in,” he said her as they cuddled by the door.

Evanglina grinned. “I really want to, but I probably shouldn’t.”

“I think you should. Even just for a minute.”

Evanglina looked at him and then gave him a kiss. “Maybe just a minute.” She then followed him inside.

Screenshot-1561 (3)

And as I’m sure you guessed, a minute turned into several minutes and several minutes turned into thirty. So much so, that this blogger had to head off. Besides, they looked pretty cozy together on Derek’s sofa. Thought it would be kind to give them some privacy! I only hope she will get home before any problems arise from you know who!

Screenshot-2233 (3)

And on a final note for today’s post, I did see Emilie and Claude kissing goodnight by the entrance to her house. It was amazing how they went from just a dance to a massive lip-lock. Glad to see that they were able to work things out by the end of the night! Just wait until Angel sees them on Monday!

Well that is it for the official prom post! Two posts jam packed with gossip and drama! Kind of like the “All In” movie, huh? It’s a bit weird… Well more soon!

Kisses,

Year 2: Post 21: Wild Night On The Town

Hey Queendalers! So you guys guessed it! Last week’s code was “guitar.” I’m running out of ideas for you guys! I must say, it is amazing how fast time has flown by. It is already the third week of April. Prom is just around the corner! Being the case, campaigns have begun for Prom King and Queen and as you can guess, Angel and Claire are at the top, with Derek and Adam. Charlotte and Claude are on the list as well, but I am sure they will be beaten out soon (Angel and Claire will see to that!). Evanglina and Maria’s names are on the ballot as well, but someone seems to have tried to scratch them both off (*cough* Angel *cough*cough*). Still, this should be an interesting race, especially with the way things are between Angel and Claire. I’m actually surprised she has time to run with everything going on.

Screenshot-1469 (3).jpg

Speaking of Angel, she had an interesting run in with Paul Friday evening while meeting up with him at the park. Apparently, he had figured out exactly what had happened at Angel’s party and was not happy about it. I’m a bit surprised that he didn’t already know considering he was there, but whatever. Anyways, he was burning mad and laying it into Angel.

screenshot-1470-3

“That was messed up what you did to her, Angel!” he was saying.

Angel rolled her eyes. “Oh Please, Paul. It wasn’t a big deal.”

“You humiliated her in front of everyone!”

“Paul, please, let me explain-”

“Are you seriously going to make excuses?”

screenshot-1474-3

Well she had it coming!” Angel finally snaps. “I warned her to back off and she didn’t listen! That’s what happens when you mess with the wrong girl.”

“Give it a rest, Angel.” Paul looks disgusted. “And back off from who? Claude?” When Angel doesn’t answer, he shakes his head. “I should have known. You’re into him, aren’t you?”

screenshot-1471-3

Angel shakes her head. “No, I’m not!”

“Really? Then why do you care if he likes Emilie?”

“He doesn’t. He would never like someone like her. She’s totally out of his league.”

Paul looks outraged. “My gosh (censoring, sorry)! Are you listening to yourself? You sound like a jealous ex!” He then exhales deeply. “I can’t believe how stupid I was. Why did I think things were going to be different this time with us? You are exactly the same as you always were!”

“And what is that supposed to mean?”

“That you’re a manipulative, cold-hearted, b****.” (censor!)

screenshot-1472-3

I am stunned after he says this. I have never ever, ever, ever, ever, heard Paul talk to Angel like that! Ever! And now here he was calling her a…wow. I’m at a loss for words.

Angel looks at him with wide eyes. “What did you call me?” Her voice sounds almost shaky.

“You heard me,” Paul snaps. “And I mean every word.”

“No one talks to me like that!” Angel shrieks. “You and I are done!”

screenshot-1475-3

Paul scoffs. “We weren’t really even going out! Thank God.”

“And if you think you are going to be my date to Prom, you can just forget it!”

Paul snickers. “I’ve already asked someone else.”

“What?” Angel looks a bit surprised. “Who?”

“You’ll just have to find out for yourself. But you better back off from Emilie. If I hear you bother her again, you’ll regret it.”

screenshot-1479-3

Afterwards, he turns and takes off to the park exit. Angel just stands there looking totally dumbfounded, as am I. I really can’t believe Paul just told her off and I mean really told her off! It would seem that she is slowly losing her charm, and from the looks of it, was now Prom dateless??? I can’t imagine how someone like her must be feeling. A potential prom Queen without a date??? Yikes!

screenshot-1009-4

Angel must have felt the same way, for that Saturday, I caught her leaving her house dressed to kill and ready for a night out.

I couldn’t help but wonder what she was up to, so this blogger decided to tag along.

screenshot-2280-3

Angel’s first stop was at a night club. Using her fake ID (yup, she still has it), she snuck her way in (as did I, luckily) and onto the dance floor. She then spent the next couple hours dancing the night away. For what it’s worth, she did seem to be having fun.

After downing a few drinks (using the fake ID again) she then pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

screenshot-2288-3

Hey,” she said, her voice slurred into the phone. “What are you up to?”

I was unsure of who she was talking to, but it seemed that she was not going to share.

“No, I’m not drunk,” Angel said, with a giggle. “I just wanted to know if you wanted to meet up at the club downtown. You know, the one Claire’s dad owns.” She waited a minute and then laughed. “Oh come on, live a little. You have only a couple months left here before you go back to London. Have some fun!”

She then bit her lip. “Pretty please?”

She then grinned. “All right! I’ll see you there.” She then hung up the phone.

It looked like whoever she was talking to had agreed to meet up, and I had an inkling of who it was.

screenshot-2349-3

After leaving the club, Angel headed downtown to the other club to meet her mystery guest. Lucky for her the bouncer seems to be occupied when she arrives. She quickly slips past him and inside the club. I try to follow suit, but the bouncer returns. Just my luck.

screenshot-2359-3

By the time I am able to get my opening, it is almost forty minutes later. When I get in, I hear some loud shrieking coming from upstairs and when I reach the top of the stairs, I see an interesting sight. Angel is riding in the electric simulator on medium speed, swishing around and as I guessed, Claude, is standing by watching. He looks very amused, but also a bit annoyed. I suppose this is a bit much for even him.

screenshot-2358-3

Suddenly, the machine seemed to malfunction and after a few jerks, it started zooming around on full speed! Angel started screaming and even Claude looked a bit alarmed. Still, everyone around keeps doing their thing, making me think they don’t realize what is happening. Maybe people go on full speed a lot?

screenshot-2360-3

Finally, the machine stopped and ejected Angel out. Angel then went flying onto her back, giving everyone a nice view of the hot pink thong she was wearing underneath. No joke! Even Claude saw it, and strangely enough, he didn’t look very happy about it. I have to restrain from laughing.

screenshot-2361-3

A man watching from not too far away, doesn’t have the same will power. As soon as Angel flew onto the floor, he burst out laughing hysterically. Something tells me he might have been just a little tipsy himself.

screenshot-2362-3

Angel laughed (clearly not paying attention to what happened) and made a shaky walk to Claude. “Whoa, now that was wild.”

Claude looked a bit concerned. “It sure was. Are you all right?”

“Yes, I’m fine.”  She then grins at him. “And so are you.”

screenshot-2365-3

Claude looked like he was about to ask what she was talking about, but then Angel leaned over and planted a big sloppy kiss on him. And I am not just saying sloppy to be rude, it was an extremely sloppy kiss! Tongue and everything all at once. Claude was so thrown that he even stumbled back a bit.

screenshot-2368-3

Finally, he pushed her away. “Angel, what are you doing?”

Angel giggled. “Um, what does it look like?” She tries to move toward him again, but he moves back.

“Angel, we can’t do this.”

Angel frowned. “Why not?”

“Because you’re drunk Angel, and I don’t want to take advantage of you. Also, it’s just…complicated.”

Angel rolled her eyes. “Oh come on, Claude. I know what I’m doing. You’re not taking advantage of me.” She then chuckled. “You know, you are so cute when you get all proper like that.”

screenshot-2378-3

Angel tried to kiss him again, but he again pulled back.

“Angel, you’re drunk. Let me take you home.”

Angel then looks annoyed. “You’re turning me down? Wow. Been hanging around that stupid Emilie girl too long?”

Claude for the first time, glared at her.

“What was that?” he asked.

“Emilie. That freak you’ve been hanging out with.”

“Angel, don’t talk about her like that.”

screenshot-2370-3

Angel scoffs. “You’re seriously defending that loser? Why do you even care about her anyway? She’s just some stupid nobody with a sick crush on you.”

“Angel, that’s enough. Stop it. You’re drunk and I would like to take you home.”

screenshot-2385-3

Angel steps back from him. “You know what Claude, you’re downing my mood.”

“Angel-”

“No!” Angel scowled at him. “Just get out of here. Go find your precious Emilie, and leave me alone.”

“Angel, I’m not leaving you-”

“Just leave me alone!”

screenshot-2387-3

Claude stared at her for a few seconds and then headed down the stairs. I guess he had had enough of Angel for one night. I can’t blame him. Although, I was a bit surprised about his irritation with her about Emilie. When all the craziness happened at Angel’s party, he didn’t exactly stand up for her. He also hasn’t really said much to her since that night either. So why was he getting so defensive over her now? I guess time will tell.

screenshot-2285-3

Well after Claude left, Angel spent the rest of the night downing drinks at the bar and dancing on the dance floor. Even I know that the girl is totally out of it. She is practically swaying when the bartender cut her off. The bouncer then walked her to the door and kicked her out. Man that girl is a train wreck.

screenshot-2292-3

Afterwards, Angel wobbled over to a waiting cab. Somehow, I had a feeling she wouldn’t be heading home right away (after all she was drunk) so I followed along behind her.

screenshot-2294-3

Sure enough, she did not head for home. Actually, she drove somewhere unexpected. Right to the Maxwell manor.

screenshot-2296-3

She could barely walk, but she made her way to the door. She then pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

“Hey, um. I need you. I know you hate me right now, but I really need you.” It’s all she can keep from tearing up. I am completely surprised. I have never seen Angel like this before. It’s totally strange.

screenshot-2304-3

It took only a minute for Claire to appear at the door.

“Angel, what’s going on?”

“I-I d-don’t even know w-where to start.” She then started telling Claire about everything her mom telling her mom and Luke Wilson. By the time she finished, she was doubling over in tears.

screenshot-2299-3

And to my surprise, Claire does something totally strange. She just looked at Angel for a moment, and then pulled her into hug. No, I am not joking.

“It’s okay,” she said, through Angel’s sobs. “We’ll figure all this out. My parents are upstairs, so they won’t see us. Follow me.”

screenshot-2309-3

She then led Angel in through the front doors and the two of them disappeared inside. I am still stunned by her kindness. The Claire I know would never have missed a chance to humiliate someone.

Instead, she was being totally kind and supportive to Angel, despite the fact that they were fighting. I guess I might have underestimated the bond of their friendship. The two them can be so strange.

On a final note, I can see in my comments and from my e-mails that you have all become very curious as to finding out who I am. I am pretty flattered and I must say, some of your guesses are pretty impressive. As I said before, keep on it dearies!

Kisses,

Year 2: Post 19: Does Thou Love Me?

Hey Queendalers! So last week’s code was a little tricky, so not all of you got it. A lot of you guessed “computer” which was initially what I was going for, but I had tweaked the code to a different word. So I shall use the same code word again to see if you guess it this time around. You were on the right track, but it is something on the “computer.” Good luck! Now onto the news!

screenshot-1576-3

So where was Derek off dressed like a million bucks Friday afternoon? Off to the front lawn! No I’m serious! He came out of the house all dressed up and headed straight for the front of his yard. And here is why.

screenshot-1577-3

Out in front of the lawn, were two double balloon bouquets with the words “Love” and “I love you” on each and in between them, candles in the shape of a heart. It was the sweetest thing I had ever seen! And I had a pretty good idea of who it was for.

screenshot-1579-3

As if on cue, Evanglina came riding up on her bike. Her eyes widened when she saw Derek standing there, and she dropped her bike on the sidewalk, and then hurried over to him.

screenshot-1581-3

“What is all this?” she asked, but I could see she was totally smiling and blown away.

“I just wanted to ask you something important.”

Evanglina laughed. “And what’s that?”

Derek smiled and took her hands into his. “I wanted to know if you would do me the honor of being my date to prom.”

screenshot-1583-3

Evanglina laughs and gives his hand a squeeze. “Was there ever a doubt of what my answer would be?”

“I still thought I would go all out. What do you think?”

Evanglina smiled. “I think it’s the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. And yes. I would love to go with you.”

screenshot-1587-3

Derek grinned and then leaned over to kiss her. I have to say, Derek sure knew how to ask a girl to prom. Guys, take a lesson from his book! He knows his stuff!

screenshot-2440-3

Unfortunately for Evanglina, I think that was the highlight of her day. That evening, I caught her roaming around at home alone, taking the trash out. She had her headphones in and was singing along to Paula Deana’s song “Take Everything I Have.” Somehow it doesn’t surprise me she would be listening to that song. It is about Paula’s abusive upbringing with her father. Kind of parallels to Jake with Evanglina don’t you think?

screenshot-2441-3

Anyways, she went about doing chores, like laundry and even cooking dinner while humming along to that song. Thinking it was going to be another boring evening for her, I was about to take my leave, when she suddenly stopped singing and said, “What the heck?” She then pulled a plastic bag filled with a white substance out of one of the pockets of a pair of jeans.

screenshot-2442-3

After looking it over, she rolled her eyes and muttered “Jake,” and then started walking up the stairs with the rest of the clothes.

screenshot-2445-3

As she was heading upstairs, the bedroom door opened and Jake came out carrying a bottle of “Carners” (local company) beer, letting me realize I was wrong in thinking that Evanglina had been alone. He let out a disgusting loud belch and then tossed the bottle in the garbage. At least he was decent enough to do that.

When Evanglina came down and saw him, she rolled her eyes. “I found your drugs, Jake. And this time I’m showing it to my mom.”

screenshot-2448-3

That didn’t sit too well with Jake.

“What the hell are you talking about?” he snapped.

“I found it in your jeans pocket. A bag of what I am sure is cocaine. Mom won’t be able to deny it this time”

“You better get that bag and bring it down to me right now you brat!” he yelled.

“No! I’m keeping it to show to my mom!”

“You will not! Go get it right now!”

“No!”

screenshot-2455-3

Jake looked livid. “You little b***** (censoring)!” he shouted and then he slapped Evanglina hard across the face. But he didn’t stop there! He slapped her three more times to the point that Evanglina almost fell over! I was so shocked! I literally could not move, not even if wanted to. I have seen him slap Evanglina before, but not like this! He looked like he wanted to…well…beat her!

screenshot-2457-3

Even as Evanglina tried to get her bearings, Jake just stood there glaring at her. His look was more than angry. It was…deadly.

“I-I’m g-going to tell m-my mother,” Evanglina stammered. Goodness, I was starting to wonder if she had a concussion!

screenshot-2454-3

Jake just smirked. “You will not say a thing! And even if you do, it’s not like she is going to believe you.”

Evanglina then gives him a look of hatred. “I hate you so much! I hope my mother never marries you!” (Ahem to that)

Jake just laughs. “It’s a bit late for that Ev-an-gli-na,” he says, saying her name in syllables again. “Your mother and I are getting married whether you like it or not. So get used to it! And if you try to get in the middle of it, you will be sorry. Believe me, if you thought that little slap was bad, you haven’t seen anything yet.”

Whoaaa! Whooooaaaa! Did he just threaten Evanglina? Um, yes he did! I swear, how on Earth did Henria meet this guy? And is it me or has he been getting worse and worse as the year goes on? I think spending so much time with “the boss” is making him more and more dangerous. Goodness!

screenshot-2474-3

But he did happen to be right. When Henria gets home ten minutes later, Evanglina doesn’t hesitate to tell her everything that happened with Jake. And what does Henria do? She yells at Evanglina and calls her a liar! She says that she is sick of her making up lies about Jake! She then says that she knows that Evanglina has been talking to Sarah and that she has been feeding Evanglina lies about Jake.

“Jake is a good guy and has been there for me through hard times, especially through this whole thing with Ricky and Sarah. He is great to me and he makes me happy! So don’t you dare try to ruin my happiness! Sarah has hers, and with the man that I loved! So why can’t I do the same?” She literally sounds hysterical. “So I don’t want to hear any more of your lies! I’m done!”

screenshot-2476-3

“But mom!” Evanglina protests, but Henria waves her hand.

“No! I don’t want to hear about all these lies anymore! Just stop it! I’ve had enough!”

“Mom-”

“I said SHUT UP!”

screenshot-2479-3

That seems to do it. Evanglina stops trying to reason with her and just turns and runs out of the house. For the first time, Henria doesn’t go after her. Instead, she sighs and then goes into her bedroom calling Jake’s name. She should be ashamed of herself, putting Jake before Evanglina. What kind of a mother is she?

screenshot-2483-3

As I’m sure you expected, Evanglina took off and ended up at Derek’s front door. He seems to be her go to for whenever craziness is going on in her house.

screenshot-2494-3

Nevertheless, he seems happy to see her and concerned, especially when she tells him about what happened. He is especially worried when she tells him that Jake was on the verge of beating her up and had threatened her, but even more when she said her mother didn’t believe her and thought she was lying.

screenshot-2485-3

When Derek said he wanted to tell his dad, Evanglina shook her head.

“It will just make things worse and I can’t handle any more stress right now. She is my mom after all, and I don’t want to leave her with Jake. We only have a month and a half until graduation. I think I can make it until then.”

“But-”

“If I can’t, I promise I will tell you.” Evanglina then gave him a kiss.

I honestly don’t know what I would do if I was in her shoes, but I don’t think I would be able to stay. I think she should let Damien intervene.  He has connections, so maybe he could get Jake to back off. But then again with the whole “paternity” thing going on, maybe he won’t have to.

screenshot-625-2

Lastly, looks like Adam was finally able to see Maria. He has been visiting regularly for the past few weeks begging to see her, something that has been driving her parents and her sister Josephina, nuts! I will say, I do give him points for persistence.

screenshot-646-2

You can tell Maria did not want to let him, but at the same time, you could also tell that she really wanted to see him.

They should in silence for a while before Adam started to speak.

“I miss you, Maria,” he said finally.

Maria shook her head. “Don’t do that.”

screenshot-650-2

Adam frowned. “Don’t do what?”

“Don’t come in here and tell me you miss me as if this is my fault. I’m not the one who did this to us! You did!”

“I know! I know!” Adam grabbed onto Maria’s hand. “I know this is my fault, I just want to fix it. It’s killing me not being with you. You can’t tell me you don’t feel the same way.”

screenshot-652-2

Maria then moved her hand away. “It doesn’t matter how I feel. It doesn’t change what you did, Adam.”

“Well it matters to me! Especially if you feel the same way. Maria, I love you. And I need to know if you still love me.”

Maria didn’t say anything. She just stares at the floor as if she wishes she could just disappear beneath.

“Maria, do you still love me?” Adam asked again.

screenshot-655-2

Maria sighed deeply. “Yes, okay? Yes! But that doesn’t change any-”

She didn’t even finish her sentence when Adam just grabbed onto her and kissed her. She looked so caught off guard that for a few seconds she didn’t even move.

screenshot-658-5

Then after trying to protest she just seems to melt into him and they start making out right there in the living room. And I mean hardcore. Tongues and everything. I don’t think I have ever seen them kiss like that before, and I have seen pretty much everything.

screenshot-653-2

Then after a few minutes of kissing, Maria pushed Adam away from her.

“No we can’t,” she said and covered her mouth. She looked like she was on the verge of tears. “I can’t. I just…can’t.”

“Maria-”

“Please Adam, I can’t. You have to go now.”

“Maria,”

“Please. Just go.”

screenshot-620-2

I could tell Adam didn’t really want to go, but after staring at Maria for a moment, he finally turned to leave.

“I’m not giving up on us, Maria,” he said right before walking out the door. “I will find a way to fix this. I love you.” He then leaves through the door, closing it behind him.

Goodness. Too much drama for one day. I hope you all enjoyed all that. As for Lexie, she needs a little break. Then again, with all the craziness going on right now, I expect more drama will be coming my way. More soon!

Kisses,

Year 2: Post 18: Moving On

Hey Queendalers! So I thought last week’s code would be a little fun, “locket.” With all the talk about family going on, I thought it was fitting. So many changes have been going on with everyone. It’s strange. Just a year and a half ago, everyone was so happy. I guess a lot can change in a year. Well, onto the news.

So the last time we saw the Richmonds, Damien was pretty much losing his cool over the whole situation with Henrietta and Luke, added with the whole “paternity” news. Who can blame him? Well just like he said, he did actually sell the house, and this blogger was around to see moving day.

screenshot-946-2

After the moving vans left, Angel and Henrietta just stood on the sidewalk watching in silence. Henrietta looked irritated, while Angel looked extremely annoyed. Which makes me wonder. How well is she taking this whole thing with Henrietta and Damien? On the surface, she looked normal, but how is she really? I can only imagine what will happen when she finds out about the “paternity” test. For her sake, I hope that Damien is her dad.

screenshot-947-2

Henrietta then went to the bathroom to do a quick clothes change (I figure, since she came out wearing something totally different) and then came back out with a box which she put in her car. Derek and Damien then emerged later and headed over. They talked for a few minutes (I heard something about custody arrangements) and then after giving Angel a hug, Damien loaded into his car with Derek and drove off. Henrietta and Angel watched them leave and then got into her car as well. After looking at the house one last time, she started the engine and they drove off. It will be strange to see someone else living in that house. The Richmonds have lived there for so long. Oh well.

screenshot-1006-4

Of course, I was dying to see where Henrietta’s new place was, being that Damien had made it clear that she would not be coming to live with him. So I followed along until they pulled into a small two-story rental house off Clarnet street. I have to strain from laughing. I’m sorry, but I cannot see Henrietta living in a place like this. The woman that so desperately wanted to live in a house two times bigger than the one they were previously living in? And yes, I know she had a motive, but still. This house is three times smaller! She must have been really desperate!

screenshot-1008-4

Angel must have been thinking the same thing, for I heard her say, “This is it?” and then walk inside ranting about how awful the house was and that she couldn’t be seen living in a place like that. I’m sure if Claire could see it right about now, she will never let her live it down! Then again, if you are all reading this blog, I’m sure everyone will know soon enough!

screenshot-955-2

Well after seeing Henrietta’s new place (*stifling laughter*) I just had to check out Damien’s new house, and let me tell you, it was very nice. It puts Henrietta’s to shame (not that it already wasn’t). It also happens to be the same house that Damien had been wanting to buy before Henrietta told him not to. Well isn’t that ironic. Somehow seeing Damien better off than Henrietta, puts a smile on my face.

screenshot-958-2

Well, Derek must have told Evanglina about it, because later on that evening after all the moving vans had left, I spotted her playing some basketball with Derek in the parking lot.

screenshot-959-2

They both seemed to be having a good time dribbling that basketball around the court. Probably because there was no fear of Henrietta catching them. Which begs the question, had Damien lifted Derek’s ban from seeing Evanglina? Because they honestly did look a little too comfortable playing around.

screenshot-972-2

I get my answer ten minutes later when Derek asks Evanglina to stay for dinner. Now I know that if she was barred from coming over, she would not be staying for meals.

screenshot-976-2

And from the kiss that they shared before Evanglina left, I can tell that she is pretty relived about it. Not saying that it is good that Damien and Henrietta split up, just saying no one can deny there is one small constellation prize.

screenshot-2570-2

But enough of that. You will not believe what happened at the Marsen house Sunday afternoon. So I happened to be driving by and spotted Sarah (Emerson now) going up the steps to the Marsen’s front door. Now, that surprised me. Henria and Sarah hadn’t really talked to each other since she moved in with Ricky and married him. So what could she be doing visiting her now? To clear the air?

screenshot-2572-2

Well, Henria happened to be hanging out in the backyard, so Sarah left the door and walked over to her. Henria as you could expect, did not seem happy to see her.

“Sarah, fancy seeing you here. I believe congratulations are in order.”

Sarah sighed. “That’s not necessary-”

“I meant to me,” Henria interrupts. “Jake and I are engaged.”

Sarah looks surprised. “Really?” She then shakes her head. “Wow, I didn’t think you would actually do it.”

“Do what?”

“Get engaged to Jake. Do you seriously think he would be a good husband? Let alone a good father to Evanglina?” Very good point!

Henria narrows her eyes. “You have no right to judge me,” she snaps. “And who I let be a part of my life and Evanglina’s father, is none of your business.”

screenshot-2576-3

“Actually, that’s what I came to talk about.” Sarah then clears her throat. “Henria…who is Evanglina’s father?”

Henria looks confused. “What?”

“Well, you never really told me who he was the whole time we were living together. You always just said that he was some guy you were seeing after you left home. Who was he really?”

Henria then frowns. “He was what I said he was. And why do you care anyway?”

screenshot-2575-3

Sarah shrugs. “I don’t know, it was just something that Ricky told me a few weeks ago. We were going over some photos from the wedding with Evanglina at McDoogles, and we found a few of Ricky and Evanglina. Ricky then said that when Kara saw them, she pointed out that he and Evanglina looked alike.”

Henria look a bit miffed. “And?”

“Well, I didn’t think much of it, but when I looked over the pictures again, I realized that she was right. Evanglina and Ricky look a lot alike. It was really weird, and just got me thinking about who Evanglina’s father is.”

Okay, now here is the weird thing. At first when Sarah was talking, Henria just looked annoyed and didn’t seem to care, but as soon as she said this, Henria looked very, very nervous.

screenshot-2581-3

There is a moment of silence before Henria practically pounces on her. “W-what? Why would you ask me that? Of course he isn’t!”

“Are you sure, Henria?”

“Of course I am!” Henria looks furious. “Why would you think he was?”

“Well, two things. One, Evanglina’s birthday. It’s in the first week of January and you said she was a month and a half early, meaning she would have had to have been conceived around May of your senior year. That was before you left, Henria, and you were only with one person then.”

Henria is looking more and more angry. I am starting to think Sarah might just be onto something.

“Second, I was thinking about something you said last year back when you kicked Kara and I out. You were trying to tell me something about Evanglina finding something out about Ricky, but then you stopped. It was why you didn’t want me to marry him.”

screenshot-2589-3

“I-I don’t know w-what you are talking about,” Henria says quickly, but it is so obvious by now that Sarah is right. She has totally uncovered the truth.

“Really Henria? Are you honestly going to deny it? Because I know you, and I can tell that I’m right.”

Henria scoffs loudly. “You don’t know anything about me! And you have no right to stand there and act like you do! Who Evanglina’s father is, is none of your business!”

screenshot-2586-3

“It is if Ricky is her father! He has every right to know!”

“Back off Sarah!” Henria screams.

“I will not! Ricky is going to be furious if he finds out! How can you keep his child from him all these years?”

“She’s not his child!”

“Then I guess you won’t have any problem letting him take a paternity test?” (Oh no, not that again.)

“Over my dead body!”

“Then it’s obviously true. Ricky is Evanglina’s father. If he really wasn’t, you wouldn’t be scared to prove it.”

screenshot-2583-3

Henria doesn’t say anything. It’s obvious that Sarah has got her there.

“Just get out of here,” she says finally. “You’re trespassing.”

“Very mature Henria-”

“Get out now!”

“Fine!” Sarah glares at her. “But I will be back. If Ricky is her father, he has every right to know, and I will make sure he does.”

screenshot-2590-3

At that moment, Evanglina comes biking down the road. She parks her bike on a rack and then runs over.

“Hey Auntie Sarah,” she says and then frowns. “What’s going on?”

“Your aunt was just leaving,” Henria snaps. “Right?”

Sarah takes one last look at Henria, and then she turns around. “I’ll be seeing you, Evanglina,” she says, and then she climbs into her car and drives away.

screenshot-2598-3

Evanglina exhales loudly. “Why do you always do that to her? Every time she tries to come here, you push her away! She and Kara are the only family we have!”

Henria frowns. “I don’t need her in my life. In fact, I don’t want her coming over here anymore. And I don’t want you going over there either.”

Evanglina’s jaw drops. “What? That’s not fair!”

“I don’t care! You aren’t going over there anymore and that is an order!”

Henria then turns and storms off, leaving Evanglina standing alone in the yard. That poor girl always seems to be stuck in the middle of everyone’s drama. Just wait until she finds out about who her father might be. Right now, she and Angel could totally be buddies! More soon!

Year 2: Post 17: Party At The Richmonds!

Hey Queendalers! If you guessed “stereo” you got it! Just in time for the party post! It was an interesting night and you will not believe the stunt that Angel pulled…

screenshot-784-2

So by the time I slipped in, the party was in full swing. Music was blaring, people were dancing around, and some standing and chatting. Well, most standing and chatting.

screenshot-783-2

Angel was doing her best to get her flirt on with Adam. I know, that girl never gives up. She brought him a drink (no not spiked) and tried to get him into a conversation about prom. I mean, what? Is the girl stupid? It’s obvious that he is going to say he wants to take Maria! And also, isn’t Angel supposed to be back with Paul again? I’m telling you, this girl is all over the place!

screenshot-788-2

I wasn’t too surprised to see Claire there since I figured she would crash the party, but I was surprised to see Kara. But then again, it was Evanglina they hated not her, soooo, maybe Angel didn’t mind?

screenshot-811-2

Kara didn’t stay very long though. I noticed her trying to get closer to Paul who was chatting with Charlotte.

screenshot-805-2

But when Paul said something to Charlotte about asking Angel to the Prom, Kara just stopped. She then seemed to disappear over the course of the night. Now that is a hard thing to deal with. No one wants to find out the guy they have been crushing on, wants someone else.

screenshot-777-2

Speaking of Evanglina, I saw her slip in at the last minute. She then tiptoed up the stairs to the third floor. Curious, I hurried after her to see what she was up to.

screenshot-812-2

There on the deck of the third floor, Derek had light up a disco ball light and turned on the radio to a station playing soft music for them to dance to. He then pulled Evanglina to him and then they slowed danced to the beat. Ugh! Derek and his rom-com behavior. It almost makes me want to slap him. No men like this exist anymore! All we’ve got is chauvinistic pigs! (Sorry, rant over)

screenshot-819-2

Speaking of which, that brings me to what happened. So Claude had showed up and also invited Emilie, something Angel was furious about. He and Emilie were busy chatting it up, when Angel, wearing a big grin, walked up and interrupted. She then proceeded to tell Emilie that she was not wanted there because she didn’t allow obsessive stalkers at her party.

screenshot-815-2

Emilie did not take very kindly to this.

“What are you talking about Angel?” She said. “Sometimes I think you just make this stuff up.”

“Oh, I can assure you it is not made up. I have it right from the source. Stalker.”

“Angel, knock it off!”

“Why? Scared everyone will know your little secret? You’re not as innocent as you want everyone to think.”

screenshot-809-2

Angel, what are you-”

“Do you remember when you and Claude were studying at the library? Well, you were in such a hurry to take your slutty self off with Claude that you left behind something crucial. Your mini notepad.”

“What?”

Angel smirked. “You know, the little one you keep all your Claude love poems in?”

Ah! I had a feeling that notepad would come into play eventually.

screenshot-797-2

Now, for the first time, Emilie starts to look nervous. Really nervous. “W-what?” she says.

“Yah, I’ll bet you’ve been wondering where it is. Well, it is right here in my pocket. Shall I?”

She then starts reading all off Emilie’s poems, and I mean ALL OF THEM.

screenshot-808-2

She reads each one in an extremely mocking tone and soon everyone at the party is listening and laughing.

“Your eyes are as blue as the clear blue sky and your skin as tan as the sandy beaches. Your smile fills my body with warmth, your voice tickles me down to the inners of my soul.”

Emilie’s cheeks are reddening and Claire, who is standing just behind Angel, is snickering pretty loud.

“If only I could feel the strength of your arms around me, the softness of your lips on mine. The warmth of your breath upon my neck-”

screenshot-801-2

Before Angel can finish, Emilie finally snatched the notepad from her.

“How dare you!” she yelled in anger.

Angel glared at her. “I told you to back off, but you tested me. Mess with fire, you get burned.”

Emilie was silent. She took one look at Angel and everyone else around the room, and then she rushed out the door. Claude just stood there staring after her not saying anything at all (little wimp!).

Ugh! That girl is pure evil. Someone really needs to put her and Claire in their places.

screenshot-622-2

Speaking of places, I spotted Adam at Maria’s house on my way from the party. He was knocking on the door and pleading for her to open it. I got to say, he is lucky her parents didn’t seem to be home. They probably would have asked him what the hell he was doing. Anyways, he knocked on the door and waited for twenty minutes before he finally gave up and left. I hope this isn’t going to become a daily thing. I realize he wants to repair things, but really! He needs to give her some time. It was only a few weeks ago! Goodness! It almost makes you wish the Beaumount twins never came. All they have really done is give Angel and Claire low self-esteem (okay, that’s not so bad) and cause choas. Not trying to hate, just an observation. I guess we will see how things turn out in the coming months!

Kisses,

Year 2: Post 15: Family Affairs

Hey Queendalers! You guessed it! The code word was: perfume. I do realize that one was a bit biased since it could have also been cologne. I will do better next week. Well, this post is a bit crazy so I will dive right in.

screenshot-932-5

So as you know, there has been a lot of craziness going on at the Richmond house because of Henrietta’s affair with Luke, and Damien finding out. But if you remember, that wasn’t the only thing that Henrietta was hiding. The truth about Angel’s paternity has also been hanging in the balance and just over the weekend, it escalated.

It all started Sunday evening when Luke Wilson made an uninvited stop at the Richmonds house. He knocked loudly on the door and when no one answered, he went right to the back of the house and started pounding on the sliding door! I’m totally serious! He looked like a crazy person! He completely caught Damien off guard, who answered the door in alarm.

screenshot-934-2

After asking him what the hell he was doing, Luke then started demanding to see Henrietta and that he was not leaving until she agreed to a paternity. Now of course Damien had no idea what he was talking about and Luke was all too happy to fill Damien in about everything, including the affair, the paternity test, and also how he had apparently slept with Henrietta a week before she married Damien. No! I am not kidding! Luke just let it all spill out! He was clearly very furious with Henrietta!

screenshot-922-2

Of course, this did not sit well with Damien one bit. He was on the verge of hitting Luke when Henrietta came downstairs.

So instead, he pulled her into the kitchen.

“What the hell is going on?” He asked her angrily.

Henrietta shrugged looking innocent. “I have no idea.”

“Don’t give me that! Your Luke Wilson is out there in the living room telling me that my daughter may not be my daughter! Now you better tell me what is going on!”

Henrietta cursed slightly. “Look, I don’t know what he told you-”

“He told me that you slept with him a week before our wedding. Is that true?”

screenshot-924-2

Henrietta shrugged. “Oh Damien, that was so many years ago. Do we really need to bring up old memor-”

“Did you sleep with him?” This is even becoming a bit much for me!

Henrietta sighed. “I don’t remember it was so long ago-”

“Wow,” Damien shook his head. “You slept with him a week before we were married. So that last minute weekend away with your friends for your bachelorette party? That was a lie?”

“Well, not entirely! It happened before we left.”

“Wow.” Damien looks totally disgusted. “Was anything in our marriage sacred?”

“Yes of course!”

screenshot-923-2

“So tell me this, is he right? Is there a chance that Angel is not my daughter?”

“Damien-”

“Answer me!”

There was a long pause of silence, and then Henrietta finally answered. “Well, I really don’t think…well…there could be a very, very slight chance-”

“Oh my gosh (censoring).” Damien looked like he was going to have a headache. “You are telling me now, almost eighteen years later, after I have raised her and nurtured her, that Angel may not even be my biological daughter?”

screenshot-928-2

Damien,” Henrietta started, but he moved away.

“Who are you?” he asked, “I can’t-I can’t even look at you right now!”  He then turned and walked back into the living room.

screenshot-935-2

Luke,” he said, facing him, “This is all a lot to process right now, so I think you should leave. If you come back tomorrow, we can figure all this out.”

“I’m not going anywhere until I see my daughter.”

“You will not be seeing Angel tonight,” Damien said quickly. “I don’t want her knowing about any of this until we are sure.”

Luke frowned. “Angel is my daughter! She has every right to know I am her father!”

“Which is why we need to take a paternity test first. If it turns out that you are her father, we will go from there. There is no reason to bring her into this before then.”

screenshot-936-2

Luke didn’t seem to be understanding. “You and Henrietta are not going to keep me from her! I have already missed crucial parts of her life because of this! I am not leaving without seeing her!”

Damien now seemed to be losing his patience. “If you don’t leave, I will call the police!”

“Oh yah? Do it!”

Damien sighed. “Look, I don’t want to escalate this. I am not trying to keep you from Angel. She is upstairs sleeping right now, and I don’t want to wake her. This is her senior year of high school and she is already going through a lot of stress right now. I don’t want to add this to her to unless it is absolutely true. I will tell Henrietta to order the paternity test tomorrow and tell them to put a rush on it. Can you deal with that?”

screenshot-937-2

That seemed to calm Luke down. He stopped yelling and just looked at Damien for a moment quietly.

“Fine,” he then said. “I will go. But I want the test done immediately. No tricks. And when it comes out that Angel is my daughter, I will be coming for her.”

And with that, he turns and leaves through the sliding door.

screenshot-930-2

After he leaves, Damien returns to the kitchen where Henrietta was still standing.

“That was a good cover,” she said looking relieved.

Damien frowned. “That wasn’t a cover, Henrietta. I meant what I said. Tomorrow first thing, we are going to the hospital to order a paternity test.”

Henrietta looked shocked. “W-what? Why?”

“Because he needs to know the truth, and so do I! And most of all, Angel needs to know the truth.”

“But what does it matter? Don’t you love her?”

“Of course I love her! But I still need to know! We all need to know, Henrietta! And don’t give me that look! You brought this on all of us by your lies and deceit! You have no one to blame but yourself!” Damien then waves his hand. “Oh and just so you know, I’ve got a buyer for the house.”

“What?”

“Someone has finally bought the house. They will need us out of here in two weeks, so I suggest you get packing. I have purchased a new place and it should be ready for me to move into in two weeks.”

“That sounds good. Are you talking about the house on Starlight lane?”

“No, of course not! I rejected that offer.”

screenshot-931-2

Henrietta suddenly flips. “What? What do you mean you rejected the offer?”

“I mean what I said. From what I heard, another bidder has purchased it for a higher sum.”

“Well where are we going to live now?”

Damien raises his eyebrows. “We? No, no, there is no “we”. I am going to live in a new home that I purchased. As for you, I guess that is for you to decided.”

“I’m sorry?”

“I’m sure you are, but it’s a bit late for that. We are done Henrietta. I am filing for a divorce. And don’t bother with trying anything. I am already aware of what you were trying to do with the house. Get me to add your name so you can ask for half in alimony. You must take me for a fool. Thinking you could find a way to sneak past the prenup you signed. Pathetic.”

Henrietta looks like she is going to explode.

“You know, It’s a shame,” Damien continues, “I really thought we were something, but I guess you were not the woman I thought you were.”

And with that he turns and walks out of the kitchen with Henrietta screaming after him about how he was not going to get away with it. I just can’t believe my ears. I swear, the past two weeks have felt like I am watching a soap opera. Two infidelities, two divorces, what should I expect next?

screenshot-237-4

In other news, one of our readers spotted Claire hanging out with Charlotte and Claude at the downtown club. She looked a bit out of place; the twins were so chatty with each other over Angel’s upcoming party, that it was like she wasn’t even there. And of course, with the animosity between her and Angel, she was nowhere in sight. And is it just me, or does Claire look a little, well, lonely? Well, you won’t hear me complaining. Since the two of them split up as besties, things have been a bit calmer at school. Who knows for how long though. With everything going on, it is only a matter of time before one of them starts running for the other. Well more next week! Keep the gossip coming dearies!
